Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair

Last weekend I decided to check out Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair.  I arrived around midday on a rainy Sunday and felt as if I had been transformed into another world; even the location of the fair gave the feel of another era.  It is held in a grade 2 listed building – The Urdang at The Old Finsbury Town Hall on Roseberry Avenue (nearest tube stations are Angel & Farringdon).

The fair features a selection of vintage clothes, shoes, handbags, and jewellery from the 1800s – 1980s.  There was music from the old days and I spotted quite a few 40s and 50s inspired looks – which really lended itself to the feel of the event.  There were some great finds, but even if you do not intend to purchase it is a nice way to spend a couple of hours.  Luckily I was given permission to take a few photos – I will post more over the coming days along with details of some of the vintage dealers from the fair.

There are more planned for next year and it is definitely worth checking out.  Tickets cost £4 on the door.  I applied for a hot ticket on the website and a couple of days before the fair I was sent an email informing me that I had been allocated a comp ticket!  Make sure to keep an eye on the website for all information regarding dates and details and maybe some hot tickets! click here.
