The Hummingbird Bakery- Heaven on Earth

Ok so I know what you’re thinking. Not another silly blogger going on about pretty cupcakes and sprinkles! Lately, its cupcake’s this, cupcake’s that.. look at me being cool with my big fat cupcake! etc. Well hear me out.

I escaped an intense casting the other day in which I had to pretend to be a giant jellyfish/water dog emerging from the sea in a state of confusion, dancing hypnotically from the belly up. I was blatantly confused! but of course I went with it anyway. My god the things us actors do. If anyone in their right mind could have seen me. Then again, I actually have done far worse! but we won’t go there.. today.

Fortunately after said audition, I happened upon the famous Hummingbird Bakery across the road on Wardour Street. I really felt like I deserved a good cupcake after the trauma I’d been through. I had been meaning to try this place since I tasted Emma’s home made hummingbird cupcakes (Our Emma- so multi-talented!)

The Hummingbird Bakery certainly lives up to its reputation. You will not be disappointed, believe me. The vanilla flavour are the best- they also have red velvet, carrot cake, pineapple flavour etc. They really are just so extraordinarily divine, so moist and eggy. I love that eggy taste in the sponge. The icing is so soft and yummy and the sprinkles! well, the sprinkles- are better than any cherry on top! Nom nom nom mmmmm! not mad on cherries.. The only problem with these cupcakes is they are way too small. I mean they are quite tiny, finished in two bites tiny, ridiculously tiny if you ask me. I’m really craving one now. Dammit!

Oh and what I said before.. maybe I am just a girl talking about cake..but I guess it really is the little things in life. Xx

All things nice

Over the past couple of weeks I have been in the process of moving house – the joys of it! Myself and the boyf are now all set up in our new flat in London so let the blogging continue. Here is a pic of something I’m looking forward to – a holiday! My mum gave me this fab gift, owing to my love of cupcakes, all things pink and my hopes for a future trip to NY!
